Teddy

Year 2

3 Terms

Situation

Teddy was permanently excluded from school and needed specialist SEND support. He required a safe, structured learning environment tailored to his unique needs.

Our Approach

We provided a specialist SEND tutor who initially worked with Teddy at home, then transitioned to a neutral venue where he could make the space his own. We collaborated with family, social care, and support workers.

Outcome

Teddy thrived in his personalized learning environment and successfully obtained an EHCP. He is now ready to transition to a specialist provision when a place becomes available.

Nadia

Year 10-11

2 Years

Situation

Nadia had been home educated for several years and her parents wanted additional support as she approached her GCSEs to ensure she was fully prepared.

Our Approach

We provided 2-3 hours per week of tutoring per subject in Maths, English, Science and French. We supported exam centre booking and helped select appropriate exam boards.

Outcome

Our tutors ensured Nadia covered the full curriculum and supported her revision and study skills development. Nadia achieved excellent GCSE results.

Grace

Year 6

1.5 Terms

Situation

Grace has an Autism diagnosis and her primary school was unable to meet her needs. She had been out of school for a period of time and she needed intensive support to engage in education again.

Our Approach

We provided 2 full days of weekly tuition in a hired room with an enclosed outdoor area near the family home. The space became Grace's own classroom.

Outcome

Grace made excellent progress and proudly labelled her classroom '6G'. She successfully transitioned to a specialist secondary school with our support.

Sheila was an ideal match for Emily and she really helped her consolidate and relax, she was able to cover areas of the course that hadn’t been covered by school and also able to explain to Emily how to answer the ‘bigger mark’ questions.
